Sharing Super-section Layers

Sharing a Section Merge Layer

The Section Merge feature enables Treatments to be generated for adjoining Sections. Adjacent Sections are merged into Super-sections and stored in a Layer. The Layer can then be viewed on the map in Explorer and used as input in Analysis.

Super-sections are continuous linear merges of adjoining Sections without any junctions or loops.

If User Access Control is enabled, a Layer is initially created as a private Layer owned by the user who created it. Share the Layer with the required user groups using the share feature, to make it public to those groups.

To share a Section Merge Layer

  • In Explorer, in the Layer drop-down, select the Section Merge Layer to share.
  • Click the Layer Options icon for the Layer.
