Creating Treatment Sets

Creating Treatment Sets

A Treatment Set is a key component of the Works Plan. A Treatment Set defines a hierarchy of defined Treatments. The structure of the hierarchy plays a crucial role in Treatment selection. The Treatment Set also defines the intervention levels and trigger rules for each Treatment. Define a Treatment Set to determine the precise Treatment model to use when analysing the Network assets. Once a new Treatment Set is saved it will be archived so that future Works Plans can run against the archived Treatment Plan.

Before creating a Treatment Set ensure that Horizons contains the Condition Parameters and Treatments for the Network. See Defining a Condition Parameter and Creating a Treatment.

The following table describes the stages involved in creating a Treatment Set:

Add a Treatment Set

Select the parameters that trigger your Treatments

See Adding a Treatment Set

Define the settings for the Treatment Set

Define the Network over which to run the analysis

See Defining the Settings for a Treatment Set

Set threshold bands for each Condition Parameter

  • Define the number of threshold bands for each Condition Parameter
  • The threshold band values for each Condition Parameter for each Asset Group

See Setting Threshold Bands for a Treatment Set

Add Treatments to Treatment Set

Add the Treatments from the Treatment library to use in the analysis

Define the hierarchy of the Treatments

Construct the triggers for the Treatment

Define the trigger rules for each Treatment

See Constructing the Triggers for a Treatment Set
