Linking to a Section

Share your view of the active Section​

When a Section is selected, you can share your current view of it with another user in your customer project. This is known as deep linking. You can use deep linking as a way to record a view of a specific Section and the active data associated with it.

The deep link will remember the following things:

  • the active Section

  • any active Layers

  • the current basemap imagery

Users who follow the deep link will need to log into Horizons before accessing the data, for security purposes.

To generate a deep link:

  1. Select the Section you want to share.

  2. Click the top Layers icon. Select any Layers with data you want to include.

  3. Click the Link icon in the top toolbar. A unique URL will appear below. It will automatically be highlighted (if not, double-click it).

  4. Right-click the highlighted URL and choose Copy or similar. You can then paste the copied URL into an email or another application as needed.
