Creating Layers
Creating a new Layer
You can create any number of Layers in your Horizons project. Each Layer must have a data source and one or more Styles, determine the colour of each Section displayed on the map.
From a data source
You can create a new Layer based on any existing data source. For example, you could build a new Layer based on a Traffic Flow data that has been imported into Horizons.
See Creating Data Layers.
From a Yotta Asset
You can create a new Layer based on a Yotta Survey asset. For example, you can build a new Layer based on a Footway asset.
From a parameter
You can create a new Layer based on a Condition Parameter that has defined deterioration bounds. This provides a colour-coded visualisation of the deterioration levels of your assets, according to available survey data.
See Creating Deterioration Bounds Layers.
From works data
You can create a new Layer based on imported data that represents planned or completed work for a specific period. This can be used to inform a Works Plan.
See Works Layers.
Cloning a Layer
You can also create a new Layer by cloning an existing one! It will initially have the same styles as your chosen source Layer, which you can change as needed before saving the clone.
See Cloning a Layer.
