Build a costed maintenance programme​

The Analysis Tools are where your Analysis configuration is put into practice.

Define the Treatments available for your assets and organise them into Treatment Sets that specify when and where each Treatment should be triggered. Set budgets to reflect the funds available across financial years. Then run a Works Plan to model multiple maintenance scenarios and identify the most cost-effective programme that meets your strategic targets.

Features​

Treatments​

Treatments represent the maintenance procedures available for your assets, e.g. surface dressing, resurfacing, reconstruction. For each Treatment, you can define its costs, length constraints and effects on specific Condition Parameters (how it improves an asset's condition). Use Opex Treatments to track the ongoing cost of reactive maintenance on untreated assets.

Treatment Sets​

Treatment Sets are configurations that define how Treatments are triggered across your Network. Organise Treatments into hierarchies of severity. Partition the value range of each Condition Parameter into severity bands, then specify Treatment trigger rules for each band. Build a Treatment Set to generate an initial set of unconstrained Treatment schemes, to use as a foundation for Works Plans.

Budgets​

Budgets define the funds available for planned works across financial years, with an optional inflation rate to project future allocations. Sub-budgets can split the available funds by geographic network area or by Treatment type, giving finer control over how money is allocated.

Works Plans​

Works Plans bring everything together to produce cost-effective, multi-year maintenance programmes. Each Works Plan takes the results of a Treatment Set and applies a Budget, local Priority weightings and Strategy targets. Multiple scenarios are modelled using different approaches, e.g. asset sweating, worst first. The Works Plan recommends the most affordable scenario that meets the most targets, with results delivered through formatted Reports and Layer visualisations.
